GMWDA are looking for enthusiastic, experienced and dedicated people to join its Contract Services Team to monitor contractual arrangements to ensure the Contractors are meeting the service provisions and required performance. This will include reporting site issues on the contract monitoring systems and auditing site paperwork and weighbridge data.

This is an ideal opportunity for you to contribute to a high quality Contract Services Team, supporting the GMWDA by monitoring recycling and waste management facilities and using contract monitoring systems to ensure the services are operating to the contracted specifications and standards.

We are looking for individuals who are methodical, confident, and can communicate effectively – developing strong working relationships with the Greater Manchester Authorities, members of the GMWDA and external partners.

You will hold qualifications in waste management; environmental fields; or other related provisions, (or appropriate and relevant work experience in these fields).

As a Contract Monitor you will be required to travel across Greater Manchester, conducting onsite inspections at each of the GMWDA’s contract facilities and reporting on their performance.

You will have experience of working in an operational, public sector / political environment; be highly organised, with the ability to plan and prioritise your work load; and be proficient in report writing, with a strong attention to detail.
