Job Title: Senior Corporate Services Officer in Procurement
Grade/Salary: Salary range £25,951 to £30,153 dependent upon experience.
Hours: 36.15 hours Permanent
Closing date: Midnight Monday 25th September 2017

Greater Manchester Waste Disposal Authority (GMWDA) are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and dedicated person to join its Corporate Services Team in the role of Senior Corporate Services Officer in Procurement.
With a working knowledge of e-procurement systems you will contribute to a high quality, cost effective Corporate Services Team by supporting management in the delivery of services and providing professional advice and guidance on procurement for GMWDA. We are looking for an individual who is flexible, confident, can communicate effectively and develop relationships with a wide range of people including elected Members, Officers and external partners.

You will hold an Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply (CIPS), be highly organised with the ability to prioritise your work load, and be experienced in analysing and interpreting complex data.

Job Title: Content Assistant
Grade/Salary: Scale 4 (SCP 18-21) £18,070 – £ 20,138
Hours: 36.15 hours Temporary Maternity Cover (provisionally 7 months subject to change)
Closing date: Midnight Monday 25th September 2017

Following and internal promotion the Greater Manchester Waste Disposal Authority (GMWDA) is looking for a competent and knowledgeable person to join its fast paced Communications and Behavioural Change team. This is an ideal opportunity for you to contribute to our five year strategy, delivered under our Recycle for Greater Manchester brand by targeting key recycling and waste prevention issues within the conurbation. The role will deliver our daily content (including digital social media channels) required for the communication and engagement activities for the authority.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate and knowledgeable about current on-line (social media and digital) and offline (advertising and print) communications tools, is competent at monitoring metrics (google analytics, social monitoring) as well as able to account manage both our support systems and agencies (press and media clippings and website hosting). In addition you’ll need to be flexible, innovative and able to communicate effectively to a full range of stakeholders from members of the public, partners and contractors. You will have good organisational skills, the ability to work across teams and in a fast paced environment.

Knowledge of SEO, website and social media analysis is essential as well as knowledge of systems such as WordPress, PR and media management tools and content design tools. You will be educated to a high standard preferably at degree level. Knowledge of the waste industry/local Government/environmental services sector/recycling sector would be desirable but not essential.
