Recycle for Bolton

Bolton residents have boosted its recycling rate to a massive 29% in 2006/07. This makes Bolton Council one of the most improved local authorities in the North West.
Last Year we recycled:
- Over 7,000 tonnes of glass, cans and plastic bottles
- Over 11,000 tonnes of green waste
- Over 11,000 tonnes of paper

Redevelopment work has started on Nightingale Farm Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC) in Bolton.
The work include installing a CCTV system which includes vehicle recognition and a public information speaker system, together with painting new line markings to improve on site direction and traffic flow.The facility will remain fully operational but users may experience some disruption during this time whilst the improvements are being made.
