In January 2007, GMWDA announced a consortium of Viridor Waste Management Limited and John Laing Infrastructure Limited (Viridor/Laing) as the preferred bidder for the Authority’s long-term PFI Waste Management Contract (please see the press releases section of our website for further details).
Viridor/Laing is currently progressing through the planning system with proposals for new and improved waste management facilities across Greater Manchester. Public exhibitions regarding the proposals are currently in progress and more details on these and also on the detail of the proposals can be found at: www.manchester-consultation.co.uk
